This chair represents the core belief: Trust in Myself is Trust in Others. Life is made richer through the connections we make, and to represent this, the frame of the chair is woven with a network of fibers, each pass representing an individual act of trust. The concept being: the more we reach out and allow ourselves to trust, again and again, the stronger we get. The [figurative and literal] stress becoming distributed more evenly.  The angled seat, which encourages a slightly reclined and relaxed position—conversely makes it difficult

The angled seat, which encourages a slightly reclined and  relaxed position—conversely makes it difficult to only partially commit if sitting on the edge. Even though the resilience of the Maple is an integral aspect of the chair's construction to ensure strength and stability—it was also important to incorporate, aspects of Trust's other side: vulnerability. One such detail being the back-edge of the chair's slight curve—emphasizing the tension between the fiber and wood.
